Creepies vesper in esquire
Esquire Magazine recently listed Creepies Vesper as one of the 30 best Martinis in America. We wanted to thank Monica Casillas-Rios and the crew over there for featuring Letherbee Gin in that wonderful drink.
Here is what Esquire had to say about it:
VESPER
Creepies, Chicago
The balls to name a bistro Creepies are large and belong to restaurateurs David and Anna Posey. There are many things Creepies does well: a crisp sweetbread schnitzel, warm brie gougères, a golden roasted chicken. But the combination of duck-fat fries with a vesper is perhaps a moment of greatness Chicago hasn’t witnessed since Jordan’s last shot in ’98. With no bartender, the drink itself is batch made and perfectly balanced. Local Letherbee gin, Community Vodka, and a combination of Lillet and Cap Corse provide the subtle yet stiff sips needed as one houses a plate of fries. —J.D.S.
